Environmental Conditioning Unit
Model 2590 for NVH Dynamometers

System Features
  • Integrated with dynamometer controls
  • Negative Pressure maintained in test chamber
  • Filtration System
  • Necessary control to perform advanced NVH testing
  • Noise control features to minimize in the test enclosure
  • Continuously variable flow rate at the brake

The Model 2590 Environmental Conditioning Unit (ECU) is utilized to provide specified controlled temperature and humidity conditions. This system is designed to allow investigative studies for brake NVH under extreme environmental conditions within a large walk-in sized test enclosure. Parameters are programmed through the integrated ProLink™ dynamometer control system.

The ECU is built as an integrated system with a typical floor or mezzanine installation. A direct expansion refrigeration system is utilized and either water-cooled or air-cooled condensers are available. Insulated ducts and silencers are utilized. Airborne dust particles are collected via a filtration system.

The advantages of this system include dual coil for low temperature/high humidity operation. Rapid cool down with direct brake and enclosure conditioning. Available options include system shut-off during noise measurement collection.
