The Model 2636 Brake Caliper Test Stand is a versatile system that can perform a number of performance and durability tests of automotive brake components.
The test stand uses a hydraulic power unit for durability testing and an electric brake apply for high pressure (burst) testing.
All test control and data acquisition are performed using ProLink™ Software.
This test stand can also perform tests for piston roll back and piston knock back in automotive brake calipers. During knock back testing, a force may be applied directly to the piston by a linear actuator in order to stimulate additional piston movement.
The test bench is constructed from stainless steel over an aluminum frame. A nickel plated T-slot top allows a variety of test parts and fixtures to be mounted on the bench top to simulate real-life installations. A removable Lexan containment guard is included for burst tests. Linear measurement devices are mounted on magnetic stands with quick release bolts to provide proper stiffness for measurements.
