Residual Drag and DTV Test Stand
Model 3016

System Features
  • Adjustable Height Brake Fluid Reservoir
  • Low Drag Configuration
  • High Precision Torque Sensor
  • Lateral Run-out Adjustment
  • Forward/Reverse Operation
  • Stable, Low Vibration Operation

The Model 3016 is a dual ended test stand which can be configured for residual brake drag measurements and generation of wear induced Disk Thickness Variation. This test system can provide overall torque variation figures, order analysis of torque variation, or reconstructed waveforms.

A specially designed high precision torque sensor allows accurate and reliable measurement of off-brake drag. Caliper mounting fixtures are utilized to assure low overhung loads and to remove vehicle spindle bearing drag. This machine allows static pressure controlled brake applies and operation in both the forward or reverse direction.

The DTV measurement system utilizes non-contact capacitive sensors capable of making small displacement measurements between the probe face and an electrically conductive surface (brake rotor). DTV data can be displayed real-time and is synchronized with pressure, torque and other test data.

ProLink software provides test stand control and data acquisition for pressure, torque, speed, temperature, fluid displacement, DTV and rotor position measurements are available.
