The service technician shall perform startup, checkout, quality control, and various customer support functions for a wide variety of industrial test equipment such as (but not limited to) brake dynamometers, in-vehicle systems, spring testers and miscellaneous test stands. These functions will be performed either at a Link facility or at the customer’s location. The ability to perform these tasks domestically and internationally is required. The service technician will report directly to the Service Manager. Supporting paperwork shall be turned in for each project. Paperwork may include but shall not be limited to daily labor tickets, service reports, expense reports, and calibration reports.
- Completion of a standard high school program or vocational program
- Minimum of 2 year degree or certificate related to electronics (may be waved in lieu of experience)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with industrial electronic / automotive component test equipment
- Functional and applicable knowledge of electrical and electronic principalsFunctional and applicable knowledge of mechanical principals
- Functional and applicable knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic principals
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills
- Safely work with AC and DC voltages up to 600 VAC
