Link Engineering manufactures customized brake & friction test stands used to recreate subsystem vehicle level functions within a laboratory environment. Typical test stand capabilities include durability, life cycling, NVH, performance development, sample verification and quality checks.
Special techniques can be applied to accelerate component performance. Multiple test stations can be applied to a single machine to provided additional testing capacity. Test stands or benches can conduct analysis using aggressive test condition profiles and potential rates of change. The test stand is used to maintain confidence of system performance under specific adverse environments. Conditions that can be varied include temperature, humidity, load/force, apply rate, torque, displacement, and vibration levels.
Test procedures are typically developed from field measurements of the actual product environment which are then used to develop aggressive parameters that rapidly exercise the product, in a realistic manner.
Some of the more common brake & friction test stands developed by Link include:
Additional stands are offered. Please contact sales@linkeng.com for information on the complete package of brake & friction test stands offered.
The test stands developed by Link have been proven throughout years of performance at customer sites and within our own testing laboratories. Additionally our software control program can be easily modified to meet requirements for data recording and real-time display. Strain gauges and other measurement devices are utilized to capture the necessary signal data.
