Link designs and manufactures both customized and standard test systems to support wheel and bearing component development. Link test equipment provides solutions for component level testing up through full system testing. A wide range of testing applications can be achieved including durability, performance and NVH.

Wheel and bearing test stands are available in several system configurations and are capable of testing performance and durability characteristics through various load inputs. Additionally, auxiliary systems are available for creating different extreme conditions of temperature, humidity, mud and salt slurry test parameters.

  • Biaxial Wheel TesterBiaxial Wheel Test System: Designed for advanced design & development testing, full durability verification, product verification and gristmill testing of automotive and light truck wheels. Camber angle control simulates actual road loads.

  • Radial Fatigue Machine: Tests the performance and durability characteristics of automotive wheels through a tire interface and road wheel system.
  • Wheel Impact Test Stand: Provides a means of simulating aggressive curb impacts on wheel and hub assemblies.
  • Bearing Endurance StandBearing Spalling Test System: Provides both radial and axial loaded durability testing of hub bearings. These stands are designed with the flexibility to meet a wide variety of component sizes.
  • Rotary Fatigue: Provides a means of investigating the durability properties and compliance testing of wheel and hub assemblies through a rotating moment arm assembly. The test stand operates by applying a torsional stress against a rotating wheel.

With the increased emphasis on vehicle fuel efficiency, vehicle manufacturers are currently investigating methods to reduce hub drag more than ever before. Link Engineering has worked to design innovative ways to simulate actual vehicle loads while capturing high accuracy measurements necessary to examine drag torques at low energy levels.

All test systems are designed and manufactured with premium quality and reliablility common to all Link equipment. In addition to some of the standard systems developed, Link specializes in incorporating customer driven specifications into our products to provide customized equipment suited to unique testing needs.
