TheModel 975 separately laces each end of medium-sized electric motor stators. An adjustable speed motor and gear reducer drives a rugged camshaft to perform the critical needle and cord guide motions.
Standard features include the microprocessor-based Sequence Controller and resolver which allow programming a variety of multiple-stitch lacing patterns with accurate control of speeds up to 125 stitches per minute. The sequence controller and an electronic tension head provide programmable cord tension.
An optional arbor design simplifies the changeover for different stator ID’s. This design reduces changeover time and also may lower tooling costs. The complete range of stator ID’s from 5.5” (140mm) to 9” (229mm) can be covered with one arbor and seven sets of shoes. This new arbor can expand up to ½” (13mm) so a single set of shoes accommodates any ID stator in its range. Stators from 5.50” (140mm) to 6”(152mm) ID can be laced on a single set of shoes.
