Production Alternator Test Stand
Model 3338

System Features
  • ProLink Software
  • Easy Belt Mounting/Dismounting
  • Interchangeable V-blocks for Quick Loading and Proper Positioning
  • Fully Computerized System
  • Automatic PASS / FAIL Results

The LINK Model 3338 Alternator Tester is designed for production line testing of automotive alternators. Interchangeable V-blocks insure quick-loading and proper positioning of the alternator under test. An adjustable pneumatic clamp swings down to firmly hold the alternator housing. A pneumatic belt tensioner retracts for easy belt mounting and dismounting. It engages to hold a consistent belt tension. Ground contact with the alternator housing is made through a spring loaded electrical terminal in the V-blocks.

The fully computerized system uses ProLink software to run customized load tests with automatic pass-fail results. It acquires data and displays graphs of speed, power, voltage and current. A transistorized load bank is available to simulate the load on the alternator and a DC Power Supply is available to simulate the battery power to the field.

Tests may be run in user-specified time segments at constant or ramped speed at constant or ramped current load. Summarized data and time based data are logged to disk, and can be easily reviewed in graphical and tabular formats within the application, or imported directly into Microsoft Excel, or other Windows software, for further analysis. A customized test results report page is displayed at the end of each test.
