Exciter 3D - Three Degrees of Freedom Vibration Test System

The LINK Three Degrees of Freedom Vibration Test System is designed for the seismic qualification of mechanical or electrical components and assemblies. It can be customized to meet each user’s specific testing needs and requirements.

  • SRS (Shock Response Spectrum analysis)
    • Shock Pulse defined by a Freq vs. G peak table. Includes ability to adjust wavelets for fine tuning of profiles. Reduce Displacement function optimizes the low frequency spectrum to achieve higher RRS.
  • Shock
    • Standard classical shock Pulses as well as (optional) user-defined or SRS synthesized transient pulses.
  • Earthquake
    • Shock Pulse defined by a Freq. vs. G peak table. Multiple waveform synthesis generation techniques included.
  • Field data replication
    • Reproduce, the actual acceleration waveforms you measure in the field. Compensation for shaker and fixture response.
  • Transient capture
    • Capture a waveform for post process. Use alone or with SRS for Shock Response Spectrum analysis.
  • Random
    • Spectrally Shaped Gaussian Distribution
  • Random import
    • Import time-based vibration data and convert to a PSD curve with breakpoint table.
  • Random on random
    • Random tones superimposed on a random background.
  • Record review
    • Record your field acceleration measurements directly to your PC.
  • SINE
    • Swept or Fixed-Frequency sine waves, with control of acceleration, velocity, or displacement.
  • SINE on SINE
    • Up to 32 sine tones simultaneously.
  • Sine on random
    • Sine tones superimposed on Random.
  • Kurtosion
    • Re-introduce the high acceleration peaks back into your random vibration tests. VR's patented -solution to when your in-service vibration environment is not Gaussian.
  • 3-DOF limit checking
    • Ability allows the operator to determine if a desired test fits within machine limits prior to running.

Key Benefits

  • Centrally located Distribution Manifold provides cleaner installation, equalizes actuator performance, and provides easier troubleshooting
  • Unique Stinger design provides isolation against unwanted pitch, roll, and yaw motions
  • Close Coupled accumulators reduce crosstalk, providing higher motion accuracy
  • True current driver electronics provide higher valve response and transmitted power
  • Tests (based on test type) may be run independently or simultaneously in all three of the principal machine axes

  • HPU Power 460 VAC, 3 Phase, Amps based on size.
  • Cooling water, typically 1/2 of the HPU flow rate...
  • Computer Power 120/240 VAC, 50-60 Hz, 15 Amp.
  • Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) recommended in case of mid-test power outage or accidental loss of power.
  • Nitrogen tank with charging equipment for accumulators.
  • Forklift or overhead crane for installation.
  • Reinforced concrete reaction mass (weight and size to be determined based on application).
