Link Engineering Company would like to congratulate Carlos Agudelo, Director of Technology Development for Laboratory Testing at LINK, on his election as Chairman of the SAE Brake Dynamometer Committee.
At LINK, Carlos is responsible for the development of new test methods, and serves as one of LINK’s liaisons to technical committees, industry consortia, and standards development groups. Carlos obtained his bachelor degree in Production Engineering from EAFIT University-Colombia (in association with the Aachen and Ruhr University Bochum Universities from Germany), and pursued post-graduate studies in project management and technical systems. Since then, Carlos has retained an affinity for his studies – actively engaging on several SAE and ISO Committees and Task Forces on Passenger Car and Commercial Vehicle brakes, wheels, and fatigue of hydraulic components. He has received multiple SAE and OE awards for development of technical standards and SAE papers on technical innovations. Carlos received a Six Sigma Black Belt certification in 2001. In January of 2011, Carlos became a co-inventor on U.S. Patent 7,934,421 B2 – Biaxial Wheel Test System.
Some of the key responsibilities of the Chairman position include ensuring industry representation and active work from the OEMs, tiered suppliers, and the aftermarket – with liaison to other industry committees; expanding the portfolio of standards and recommended practices; and updating and developing inertia dynamometer test procedures to properly represent new powertrain technologies.
Please join us in congratulating Carlos Agudelo on his election as Chairman of the SAE Brake Dynamometer Committee.
