On July 21st, 2017 LINK celebrated the grand opening of a new vehicle testing facility in Huangshan (Yellow Mountain), China. Huangshan is well known as a holiday destination for tourists around the world, but has recently become a major vehicle testing location due to its mixture of mountains, long straight highways, and intensive city infrastructure. LINK has been working in this area since 2014, and has found success in the growing market there. Huangshan is LINK’s second location in China, in addition to the company’s laboratory testing facility in Shanghai.
LINK is the first independent testing resource to open its doors in Huangshan, and will continue to support OEM’s and suppliers in their upgraded facility. The new 1,500 square meter space contains several vehicle hoists, vehicle bays, and holds a local inventory of data acquisition equipment and other vehicle testing tools. It also has full engineering and technical teams on hand to support turn-key vehicle test projects.
The opening ceremony for the new LINK facility was a 3 hour event that celebrated the growth of vehicle testing in Huangshan and in China. Members of the global LINK team, industry experts from OEM’s and tiered suppliers, local government officials, and international visitors were all in attendance to show their support. The event consisted of speeches from Technical Director Adam Link, Managing Director and Vice President of Asia John Mack, and Mayor of Huangshan Wang Weidong, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony. Afterwards, guests were able to visit the test facility and enjoy lunch together. The ceremony was a great success, and showed LINK’s commitment to vehicle testing in Huangshan.
