This week’s product spotlight is on our Seat Vibration Tester. This system is designed to quickly find and analyze the source of noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) problems in automotive seats. In particular, this system performs buzz, squeak, and rattle testing.
As part of our servo hydraulic product line, this system is designed to accommodate up to six single seats or a combination of two and three seat benches with a payload of 800 pounds and a constant acceleration of 1G. To avoid backlash problems, the table is pivoted on a flexure design bearing. The system is designed to be assembled in an anechoic chamber.
The Seat Vibration Tester simulates a variety of features and functions. These include sine sweep, graphing capabilities, control limits based upon displacement, load, or acceleration, and selectable tracking filters. As an option, customers can request that a noise measurement system be integrated into the machine control and data acquisition system.
