Equipment
Bi-Axial Seismic Exciter
Overview
The LINK Bi-Axial Seismic Exciter is designed to accurately reproduce seismic events accurately. Horizontal and vertical tests can be run independently by rotating the actuator. This provides a cost-effective solution for performing statistically independent motions in the X, Y, Z directions without off-axis motion concerns.
Key Benefits
- Special low noise linear bearings provide a rigid bearing structure without the expense and maintenance of hydrostatic bearings
- Sine sweep: operator defined frequency range and linear or logarithmic rate, with defined acceleration level
- Linear Bearing design provides high resistance to over-turning moments, preventing off-axis motion
- Designed for attachment to customer seismic mass, varying sizes available with seismic mass
- Low friction linear bearings and hydrostatic bearing actuator provide reduced harmonic distortion
- Shipped as an integrated system reducing installation time
